The Journey at Mount Pleasant
Substance Abuse Treatment Center
YRM/DRM
This is a licensed RTC servicing DJJS/DCFS clients in the Male-Substance Dependent category of the graduated sanctions model. It takes 6 to 12 months to complete and includes weekly individual/family therapy and group therapy 5 days a week. The Journey operates on a ranch in Sanpete County. The ranch has 55 acres, including 40 acres currently under cultivation, a pond, a barn, and a house which services 24 clients. The program is farm based, where the clients have an opportunity to raise and train animals, participate in a FFA program, and show animals. Clients will be transported to Provo if needed for family visits and team meetings. Transportation will be available for home visits. Treks are part of the program, as are community service and a strong peer culture.
